Tableau provides three different products. For this course, we will only use Tableau Public Desktop or Tableau Desktop. You can safely assume that I'm referring to Tableau Desktop whenever I say Tableau.
Tableau is a data visualization software that lets you see and understand data. While most data scientists and analysts would prefer using Python or other programming languages to visualize data, Tableau can be a great alternative if you prefer a graphical user interface (GUI) software.
